Lagoon 38 Shines at International Multihull Show 2025: Innovation We Admire

The International Multihull Show 2025 witnessed a milestone moment: the public unveiling of the Lagoon 38, marking its grand entrance after exclusive dealer previews. As Lagoon’s new entry-point model, the 38 inherits the legacy of the iconic Lagoon 380 (900+ sold). Its blend of volume, sustainability, and accessibility positions it to redefine compact cruising.

Why the Lagoon 38 Stood Out

Developed by Lagoon’s 2,000-strong team across shipyards in Bordeaux and Vendée, the 38 blends agility with spaciousness through verified innovations

  1. Gull-Wing Hull Design
Vertical hull windows maximize interior volume and panoramic views, creating unexpectedly bright cabins for an 11.38-meter catamaran.

  2. Dual Social Zones
forward U-shaped cockpit complements the aft helm station, enabling 360° social interaction and seamless movement. Extended transoms simplify boarding and water access.

  3. Eco-Conscious Engineering
Solar panels (up to 1,420W), hemp-fiber composites, FSC-certified wood, and vacuum-infused construction reduce environmental impact. An integrated UVOJI water purifier comes standard.

  4. “IN & OUT” Living Concept

Sliding glass doors merge the saloon and cockpit into a single continuous space, accommodating up to 10 guests for dining.

  5. Simplified Sailing
A self-tacking jib, 72.2m² upwind sail area, and twin 29HP Yanmar engines ensure easy handling for short-handed crews. VPLP-designed hulls prioritize stability. Centralized controls with excellent visibility and cockpit connectivity.

  6. Versatile and Spacious Interior
    A 3-cabin “Owner’s version” (bed forward, bathroom aft) or 4-cabin charter-focused layout. Queen-sized beds (180cm) in all cabins – rare for a 38-foot catamaran
